I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
